27.1.2012

Community is of upmost concern to us because it is the basic element that creates the fabric of modern society. Ngau Tau Kok housing estate has gone and become part of the history. On the other side, Yue Man Fong has not retired from the stage. This community with more than 50 years of living history has it’s share of hard work and anecdotes. This year what catches our eyes are how the average person manage to pool the wisdom and efforts of everyone in the community; to work with collective wisdom and concerted efforts to make it a home for his family; thus become the integral part of Yue Man Fong community.

This is the forth year which Lumenvisum has been holding the workshop for the “Kwun Tong Urban Renewal Photography Project”. This year the participants have came up with nick name “Fong Tong 12” for the workgroup as well as presenting a photo exhibition titled “Keep‧Watch”, to showcase the redevelopment project in their 4th year with regards to the appearance of Yue Man Fong.
